Define a visible outcome
A project groups work around an account and an outcome. Name the account, owner and completion condition before adding milestones. A milestone should describe evidence of completion, such as a validated production connection, rather than a vague percentage.
Treat blockers as work
A blocked milestone should identify the missing decision, person or service. Link the operational request that will remove the blocker. Review waiting work during handoff so that a project does not look healthy simply because no one updated it.
Deletion needs a deliberate review
Only an authorized admin can delete a project. Review its name, account and affected records in the confirmation step. Export needed information first. If the confirmation no longer describes the current project, cancel and reopen it; do not confirm a stale target.
